February 01, 2022

Egg; the most listed item in family grocery. Individuals can purchase eggs in single-use plastic bags or clear plastic blister boxes made for eggs at the local market. An additional charge applies for a plastic carton, while plastic bags are free of charge. A household shops from 6-10 eggs during the visit to the local market. However, standard Packaging for supermarket shoppers comes in 10 eggs per plastic carton.
Some families buy eggs in bulk; in that case, the eggs are packed in a flat plastic mould that can hold 30 eggs, and customers pay the deposit for this type of Packaging.
PREVENT PLASTICS see the need in the market to reduce the excess plastic waste that comes from egg consumption.
