Myanmar-European Empowerment Programme (MEETup) Youths in Action

Under the Myanmar-European Empowerment Programme (MEETup), various MEETupverse and Green Over Horizon groups have implemented their projects online and in person.
The “Green over Horizon” online article competition provided a platform to express love and dedication towards the environment. Participants could showcase their writing skills and enthusiasm for competition, with the theme focused on Waste Management. Prevent Plastics Myanmar contributed by sharing relevant content on waste management for the articles.
On Friday, July 5th, at the Institut Français de Birmanie (IFB), Prevent Plastics Myanmar participated as mentors in the Myanmar Youth Forum: Share Your Voice to EU. Five young individuals led this forum from the MEETup Programme, which included themes such as Environment, Gender Equality, Quality Education, and Social Entrepreneurship. Prevent Plastics Myanmar specifically mentored the Environment Theme.
The event, supported by the European Union in Myanmar (EU) and EU-funded projects, successfully identified many passionate young people eager to engage in environmental conservation efforts. Appreciation goes out to all the organisations and active youth participants who contributed to the discussions.
