Community Coming Together – Sharing and Supporting as One

In late March, a powerful earthquake struck near Sagaing, causing widespread damage across towns in both Mandalay and Sagaing Regions. Tragically, it also led to the loss of lives and the destruction of significant landmarks.

In response, the Prevent Plastics+ team organised a small event to offer support in any way we could. The funds raised were directly shared with local organisation working on the ground in the affected areas.

In addition to financial contributions, attendees generously donated clothing, household items, and kitchen supplies. These items were carefully sorted and sent to Mandalay, where YEAH delegates from the city came together to deliver them to Bone Oo Village.

We would also like to inform everyone that we are still storing the remaining packages and preparing to send them to other communities in need.
