Myanmar SME Takes on Circular Economy

Circular Week 2021 take place from Oct 11 – Oct 17 globally; the entrepreneurs in Myanmar need to be mindful of the Circular Economy and sustainability as it is a worldwide movement together.

On Oct 15 2021, Prevent Plastics organised an exclusive event with SMEs to hear the motivations, benefits, and challenges behind sustainable packaging. Over 20 MSMEs joined the event to discuss their hurdles and approaches to cost-effective yet eco-friendly packaging.
To broaden the knowledge on the Circular Economy, STENUM Asia presented a session on the importance of its role in Sustainable packaging.
SMEs play a vital role in economic development and drive industrialisation. Thus, discussion outcomes from this event will be
used to develop strategies to come up with alternatives to reduce packaging waste as well as cost-efficiency.
