Green Finance Guide(GFG) Launch Event, Greening the banking sector in Myanmar

On 15th November 2022, Prevent Plastics Myanmar hosted a launch event of the Green Finance Guide(GFG) developed by the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP) & SMART Myanmar 2.0 pre-Covid. The GFG was reviewed, updated and published under the purview of Prevent Plastics Myanmar, EU SWITCH-Asia Programme. The review and update was conducted by Yever, assisted by WWF-Myanmar.

Mr Carl Frosio, Programme Manager, European Union in Myanmar, Daw Khin Saw Oo, Chairman, Myanmar Banks Association, Myanmar Bank Associations CEC Members & Representative from 21 private Banks attended the event to discuss the way forward and how banks could implement the guide.
