Edutainment approach to behavioural #SWITCH

February 18, 2023

The Edutainment approach to behavioural #SWITCH in Myanmar is a great example of how creativity and innovation can be used to address important issues like environmental protection. Through a combination of education and entertainment, the program aims to promote awareness and encourage personal behavioural change to prevent littering and the excessive use of single-use plastics.

The program is designed to be fun and engaging for both children and adults, using storytelling and general knowledge to communicate messages about environmental issues. It is also a movement, aiming to spark a wave of conversation and action among Myanmar’s citizens, with people creating initiatives to tackle plastic pollution and waste management.

Collaboration between Prevent Plastics Myanmar and CANAL+ Myanmar has resulted in the development of a green workplace culture at CANAL+ Myanmar Office and the promotion of environmental awareness to future stars through traditional media channels. The project has reached over 9 million consumers through social media campaigns, collaboration with influencers, and project partners.

As the Prevent Plastics project continues to seek collaboration opportunities to promote Sustainable Consumption and Production patterns in Myanmar, the Edutainment approach will play a vital role in raising awareness and promoting positive behavioural change. By making education about environmental protection more entertaining and accessible, we can hope to see a brighter and greener future for Myanmar and the world.
