First Day of “Environmental Connection”

On the first day, youth-led organisations shared insights about their respective groups. There were plenty of learning opportunities between the different organisations, and attendees had the chance to ask questions at the Youth Organisation Booths. After these knowledge-sharing sessions, our partner organisations, including 3Zero House, MERN, and Thant Myanmar, shared information about their activities and environmental topics.

Meanwhile, participants also enjoyed answering quizzes prepared by Prevent Plastics, with small gifts awarded to those who answered correctly. The quizzes provided a fun way for the youth to spend the day. The Responsible Market, featuring eco-friendly products and responsible entrepreneurs, was also part of the event. The first day of the “Environmental Connection” event was filled with memorable experiences.

Second Day of the Event

On the morning of the second day, the Responsible Market and quizzes continued, along with a fun egg box-making craft activity. At 1 PM, a Panel Discussion took place. During the discussion, guest speakers shared their perspectives on environmental issues, the challenges faced by youth-led organisations, and the impact of human activities on the environment. The panel was divided into two sessions: Session I focused on the environmental actions taken by youth, activities aimed at young people, and the positive changes resulting from these actions. In Session II, the challenges of leading an organisation were discussed, with experienced panellists offering their insights and advice. We are deeply grateful to each panellist for sharing valuable takeaways.

After the panel discussion, a German poetry competition was held, and awards were presented to the winners. the event’s second day also ended on a joyful and memorable note.

Throughout both days of the event, Prevent Plastics Myanmar exhibited artwork created from waste collected during a cleanup at Taw Za Chaung village in Popa as part of the Plastic Free July campaign.

E ART H Myanmar also showcased artworks that repurposed old clothing found in trash bins, giving them new life as artistic creations. Upcycled works by students from the German Children’s Class were also displayed.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of the “Environmental Connection” event over the two days. We hope that all attendees found meaningful connections to the environment.
