Environmental education is currently unavailable for children in Myanmar as a curriculum or school subject.

Children must grow up knowing how to play their role as responsible or eco-mindful warriors to protect the environment. Littering is widespread, and behavioural change is needed to be aware of placing trash in the bin, and segregation plays a significant role in sustainable waste management systems.

The book emerged with a joint effort between Thant Myanmar, Phaung Daw Oo Monastic Education and Prevent Plastics combining many on-ground experiences in the waste management sector & educational background. Tailored to support teachers to comply with the knowledge from the book in the classroom and encourage the teacher to lead by example.

Training of Trainers took place online due to covid, but our master trainers are passionate about striking through the difficulties and challenges to deliver the training.

The book has cartoons, images and pomes and activities to visualise the enhance the fun learning mechanism.

Trained over 172 teachers and reached 1875 students in one year.
