Behaviours of humans have a lot of impacts on the sustainability of the planet and other creatures. Not only urban areas of the country but the rural regions; away from the cities also need proper ways to manage waste, especially like Life in Oozie Village Ecohut (L.O.V.E), in which elephants need to live along with humans. Such improper treatment of waste and lack of waste segregation in the camp may affect the life of elephants and the natural environment. So with the support of Prevent Plastics Myanmar, Thant Myanmar completed a waste assessment and raised environmental awareness of Sapel Yoe Village near the camp. The training program was perfectly finished by sharing waste segregation practices, composting organic waste, systematic incineration of plastic and metal waste, and others – a comprehensive package for the Rural Waste Management system. Prevent Plastics Myanmar is delighted by the environmental enthusiasm of the participants during the training program, and we believe Life in Oozie Village Ecohut (L.O.V.E) team will continue to protect their environment and maintain the waste management system implemented.
